Wix: what they do well
Wix is one of the largest DIY website builders globally, with a drag-and-drop editor, hundreds of templates, and an app market. Their strength is design flexibility for owners who want to build the site themselves and iterate on the visual design.
fivedaylaunch: what we do differently
fivedaylaunch is a done-for-you service, not a DIY builder. We deliver a real custom website plus owner portal in 5 business days, starting at a one-time $499 build fee, then $25/mo. Every site gets a human designer polish pass on Day 3, not just an AI-shipped template. Hosting, edits, migration, and Google Business Profile submission are included at every tier. Month-to-month, no lock-in, cancel any time.
When to pick which
Pick Wix if: you want maximum control over every design decision, you have the time to DIY and revise iteratively, and you enjoy the design process.
Pick fivedaylaunch if: you want a real website up and running quickly, you'd rather focus on running your business than becoming a part-time web designer, and you want ongoing edits handled by someone else.
Migrating from Wix to fivedaylaunch
Migration is included at every tier. We handle: exporting your existing content, matching your current URLs to new URLs with 301 redirects (so you don't lose SEO), preserving your email routing, and re-submitting to Google + Bing. Typical timeline: 5 business days for the new site. How long search ranking takes to recover under the new domain structure is set by Google and Bing, not by us.

Common questions
What is the difference between fivedaylaunch and Wix?
Wix is a DIY builder: you design and maintain the site yourself. fivedaylaunch is done-for-you: we build, polish, and edit the site for you. Wix wins on design control and starting price. fivedaylaunch wins on time-saved and doesn't require you to become a part-time web designer.
Is fivedaylaunch cheaper than Wix?
fivedaylaunch plans each carry a one-time build fee: Simple is $499 once, then $25/mo, Basic is $699 once, then $36/mo, Pro is $999 once, then $52/mo. Own it outright is $1,499 once with no monthly fee. See the comparison table above for Wix's current pricing. Our subscription plans are month-to-month. Which is cheaper depends on your tier and whether done-for-you delivery is worth the difference.
Can I migrate from Wix to fivedaylaunch?
Yes. Migration from Wix is included at every fivedaylaunch tier. We preserve your email routing, forward old URLs to new ones (301 redirects), and re-submit to Google + Bing. How long ranking takes to recover is set by Google and Bing, not by us.
